Field Mice in San Angelo
Field mice include the commonly talked about house mice, along with a number of other species. They vary in color, size, and behavior, but prefer to live outdoors. When these mice get inside, they typically do so through doors/windows, holes in roofs, and more. They are notorious for their ability to jump, swim, and gnaw. As their name implies, field mice live in fields or grassy areas. They make their nest in gardens, wooden areas, or parks. Field mice will store food in their underground nest, called burrows. Like most animals, they are attracted to anywhere food sources are easily available.

Field mice are often driven indoors looking for food and shelter. Once inside, they can spread disease or contaminate food with their droppings or urine. They are good hiders, and controlling an infestation almost always requires professional help
